The ever worsening legal protection in Finland
Free release
The level of legal protection people in Finland have against the misuse of power by authorities could be compared to that of former socialist countries. (Mr. Jussi Nilsson in the Finnish Lawyers Journal (Lakimiesuutiset). In Finland there are no efficient consequences for the missuse of power. Even if there were some kind of legal consequences to be found in some law these laws are not enforced since in Finland the authorities don´t have to conform to a law. If a person or legal person stands up to defend ones rights they often have to face threats and pressure from the administarion. If a person or legal person tries to get justice by suing the state in a Finnish court the state is recruiting an expensive attorney against you as has happened in the pending case ambassador Alpo Rusi vs. Finland. It has been shown that this practice is against Finnish law and is aimed to frighten anyone not to file a lawsuit against the state of Finland because if you loose (which is extremely likely in Finland due to the structural corruption ) you are left with your own lawyer´s bill as well as the bill from the top expensive attorney recruited by the state of Finland against you. Because of this the legal protection of Finnish citizens and legal persons is is very poor and is even getting worse if one takes into consideration the proposed changes to the judicial system and the selection process of the new finnish judge to the European Court of Human Rights, Ms Päivi Hirvelä ( a falsified CV and her secret selection against the requirements set by the Parliamentary Assembly, The Recommendation 1649 (2004)1 ). Does the severe violations of legal protection and other misconducts that are described in the book: Laman ja Rahan Pelurit question the right of Finland to be a member of the European Community? It can be shown these violations of the legal protection in Finland have been intentional, that they are continuous and that it is apparently the intentention that violations are also going to be done in the future ( The case of Päivi Hirvelä that has been dealt with on this forum). According to the Treaty on European Union all memberstates must respect human rights and the rule of law. These practices of the administration in Finland have apparently been noticed in Europe since: The Council of the European Union has in its meeting on 8-9.03.2007 concluded that " Clear and consistent EU rules are a prerequisite for a well functioning Internal Market as are timely, correct and high-quality transposition of Community legislation and effective application and enforcement of common rules". The highligted actions of the "grey administration" in Finland has apparently plunged the trust and respect towards Finland in the rest of Europe. This could explain the uneventful Finnish Presidency last year ( which was also noted by The Guardian ). This has lead premier Matti Vanhanen to explain himself in Finnish media at the end of the presidency that Finland could settle for a less visible role in the Europan Union.
